How is this different from hiring a research consultancy?

Research consultancies produce reports. We produce working systems. Our R&D output is always aimed at a production pathway — not an academic paper. We combine research rigour with engineering execution, which means findings get validated in code, not just in theory.

What if the research shows the idea is not viable?

That is a successful engagement. Finding out a direction does not work in week 3 — before a 6-month build — is exactly what R&D is for. We will tell you clearly when something does not work, why, and what the alternatives are. We would rather lose a follow-on project than help you build the wrong thing.

Do you work on problems where there is no existing solution?

Yes — that is our preference. Commodity problems have commodity solutions. We are most useful when the problem is genuinely novel, the constraints are unusual, or the domain is too specialised for generic tools. If there is an off-the-shelf solution that fits, we will tell you and point you to it.

Can you work alongside our internal research team?

Absolutely. We often embed alongside existing teams — providing specific expertise, extra capacity, or an external perspective. We adapt to your working style and tooling. The goal is always the outcome, not protecting our process.

Who actually does the work?

Senior specialists only — 12 to 15+ years of domain experience. No juniors assigned to your project, no offshore hand-off after scoping. The people you talk to in the discovery call are the people who build the solution.

Do you sign NDAs and protect IP?

Yes. NDA before any substantive conversation, as standard. IP developed during your engagement belongs to you — we do not retain rights to client-specific work. For academic collaborations involving publications, we agree IP and authorship boundaries upfront in writing.
